30 years of caring for children
More than 3,000 children have already received support from SOS Children’s Villages Kazakhstan over our 30 years of work.
We build families for children left without parental care, so they can simply enjoy their childhood. We believe that every child deserves love and stability. This is why we strive to create an environment where they can build strong relationships or restore connections with their loved ones.
We also ensure that as many children as possible never end up in institutional care. To achieve this, we develop centers where families in difficult situations can receive help they need.

Our vision
We are guided by four principles:
Every Child is Unique: We help children develop their abilities, live according to their culture and religion, and receive a comprehensive education.
Every Child Needs a Stable Parent: We strive for every child to have an adult with whom they can build a relationship based on love and respect.
Every Child Grows Up in a Supportive Family: We help preserve families or form emotional bonds between children and their foster families. Siblings always stay together in our programs.
Every Child Has a Safe Community Ready to Support Them: We assist families in sharing experiences and creating a positive environment for children’s development together.
Our mission
We provide children and youth who have lost or may lose parental care with a safe and supportive environment.
Our goal is to give them the opportunity to build trusting relationships with others and receive support that allows them to become strong and psychologically resilient.
Activity
Every child belongs to a family and grows up in a loving, respectful and safe environment. Families come in all shapes and sizes, including foster families, extended families and kinship care. However, what is really important is that children and young people have a sense of belonging, are surrounded and supported by people who care about them, who they can rely on and trust, who believe in them and who are available when they need someone most. Caring and trustworthy relationships are the cornerstone of the family environment we envision for every child and young person.
